The word Mudra has its origin in eastern cultures and conveys many meanings around the world, but in general the meanings gravitate to three fronts: earthly meaning: gesture of the hands, can extend throughout the body; artistic meaning: Indian dance, where the dancers tell stories through their hands; spiritual meaning: seal / key. The name Mudra arose intuitively. Rafael, founder of the brand, in moments of connection with the handpan, realized that hands were crucial not only for playing but also for filling the instrument with history, art, feeling and spirit during the manufacturing process.
