ANIMARA is a high quality handpan/hang drum maker, was founded in late 2013 by Alexander Trunov & Sergey Ardasenov in St. Petersburg in Russia.

A community of researchers, psychologists, musicians and scientists, united with one overarching goal: to create musical instruments and learning systems that will help us all come closer to understanding how deep this beautiful rabbit hole is.

Together with a big team, we have tested more than 20 types of steel and settled on PS steel (half-baked) for serial tools and 65 g. steel (spring) for custom instruments. Steel is produced in Siberia. We pay close attention to metal processing. Each workpiece goes through the stage of ion-plasma nitriding before adjustment by the master.

This technology protects metal by %95 from corrosion and detuning.And after that manual tuning of instruments by Animara masters in Europe.

Each instrument in our collection is assigned with a unique number.(We produce over 400 instruments per year) The buyer receives a tool passport and a 2 year warranty. Within 2 years after purchase, we adjust the tool for free, in the absence of mechanical damage.

We want to make this world more harmonious by opening in everyone a source of endless development and creativity.

We believe that all boundaries are only in the mind: it is worth crossing them to see doors where there have always been walls.

Now the Animara team has several dozen amazing people and more than a seven thousand students.
